restore from tape devices. You doesn't need any technical skill to recover your
data: you can esplore the cartridge content and select the individual
files/folders you want to restore, or you can perform a full restore in original
locations. The restore can be run from any computer, because all the backup
information are stored in the cartridge.

Compression and Encryption |

Among the tape backup features we have the possibility to set several compression options,
in order to obtain the best result in space saving and backup speed. Uranium
allows you to enable the tape device hardware compression or to use its
integrated "on-the-fly" compression, with several compression
methods/algorithms. Moreover, you can encrypt your backups using the strongest
encryption algorithm available today: AES 256 bit.

result in your tape backup tasks. Uranium Backup is a fully unicode software, so
it is compatible with any language and character set. It allows you to copy open
(in-use) files through the Volume Shadow Copy technology (Exchange Server files,
Outlook PST files, Virtual machines, etc ...). Finally, Uranium can store on
tape also files that have paths longer than 255 characters.
