Uranium Backup is a powerful burning software for Windows, that allows you to create customized procedures to write files and folders to any type of optical disc, including high-capacity media like double-layer DVDs and Blu-Ray discs. Uranium is an easy-to-use, lightweight and powerful burning solution for Windows. Uranium supports all MMC (Multi-Media Command Set) compatible CD/DVD/Blu-Ray/HD-DVD devices, without the need to install any additional driver. Uranium Backup is compatible with any type of optical media: CD-R/RW, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, BD-R/RE, HD-DVD-R/RW and DVD-RAM media are supported, including modern high-capacity double layer DVD+R, dual layer DVD-R, Blu-Ray and HD-DVD. UUranium allows you to create complete data backups to CD/DVD/Blu-Ray/HD-DVD, without having any technical skill: you must simply select the files/folders you want to burn, insert the disc and select the burner to use. Morevover, you have the possibility to create complex backup operations to compress/encrypt files before the burning process and to automatically erase rewritable discs. 	UDF format - Unicode
	Uranium Backup uses the advanced and versatile UDF file system to burn data discs. The UDF format allows to overcomes many limitations that affected the old file systems used by common burning programs, so you can burn files bigger than 2 GB and files that have paths longer than 255 characters without any issue. Finally, Uranium is a fully unicode software, so you can burn files that have names in any language and character set (Chinese, Arabic, Russian, etc ...)
	Disc verification and buffer underrun protection
	Uranium Backup can ensure all the burning processes are completed correclty thanks to the integrated buffer underrun protection: when a "buffer underrun" occurs due to slow source devices, Uranium can tell the drive to suspend writing. The drive memorizes the end writing point and timing, and immediately resumes writing from that exact point when sufficient data is filled in the buffer memory. At the end of each burning process, Uranium can perform a complete verification of all the data written on the disc, to always ensure that the backup is not corrupted.
	Automatic erasing of rewritable discs
	If you want to use rewritable discs, Uranium allows you to set an useful option to automatically erase them, and you can choose whether erase them at each backup or only whether the disc space is insufficient to append another backup session.
	Parallel burning processes to multiple burners
	Uranium Backup allows you to create several backup procedures that can burn your data at the same time to different burners installed on the same machine, using a powerful parallel execution.
	Compress and encrypt your files before burn them
	With Uranium you can configure complex backup procedures, based on the chained execution of several Backup Sets. In this way, you can create customized tasks that can encrypt and compress your files before burn them.
	Easy restore and browsing of sessions stored in a multisession discs
	Uranium provides and intuitive interface to perform data exploration and restoration from optical discs. You can easily browse all the files and folders stored in any type of UDF disc and inside different sessions (if the disc is a multisession disc). With a simple click you can restore files to your hard drive.
