Uranium Backup is a Windows built-in drive imaging backup software, that
allows you to make image backups of your entire hard drive/disk partitions.
With Uranium Backup you can create disk images to completely recover you system
in case of failures, simply using the Windows Recovery Environment.
Uranium integrates itself with the powerful Windows block-level backup engine,
so you can save all your important data togheter with all the operating system
settings.
You can restore your entire system after operating system crashes, virus attacks or hardware failures
(bare-metal restore) or you can easily browse you hard drive images to restore
individual files or folders.
The imaging backup features are available for Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows
Server 2008.

Uranium creates disk image files in a standard-compliant format. The disk image
files created by Uranium Backup are standard VHD files, so you can mount and explore them
as common hard drives. You can use VHD files to restore individual files/folders or
to recover the entire system using the Windows installation/recovery disc.

device. For example, you can create disk images on local/external hard drives
and on network shares, and then you can copy them to tape devices, to Blu-Ray
discs, REV drives, etc ...

You can use Uranium Backup to back up a full server (all volumes), selected volumes, or the system state. You can recover volumes, folders, files, and the system state.
In case of disasters like hard disk failures, you can perform a system recovery, which will restore your complete system onto the new hard disk, by using the Windows Recovery Environment.

Uranium creates very detailed log files for each backup task, so you can
easily know all the information about the backup, like the size of copied files,
the time elapsed, the image files created and their locations, etc ... The log
files created by Uranium Backup are very clear and readable, in order to make

There are two methods of restoring data from a drive imaging backup. The first
method is to mount an image and restore individual files or folders. The second
method is to perform a bare-metal restore, simply using the Windows DVD (or the
Windows recovery disc) to rebuild the system from your image.

You can schedule your backup operations to execute them at specified time. You can set a
Backup Set to run only once at the time you specify or make it run regularly. In
this way you can have a continuous data protection of your entire system.

After each backup, Uranium Backup can send an email notification telling you whether the backup succeeded or failed.
